Apple buys Topsy for $ 200 million

As reported by the Wall Street Journal , Apple has purchased Topsy a small startup research and analysis of conversations on social networks. A purchase unusual for a company like Apple focused mainly on the hardware. Apple confirmed the acquisition without giving an explanation of the reasons for the purchase. The deal is estimated at $ 200 million.

After PrimeSense, Tim Cook takes home the startup research and analysis of social conversations for possible inclusion in future products of Cupertino.

A few weeks ago the purchase for another $ 350 million from PrimeSense , the Israeli company in the mind of the Kinect 3D sensor from Microsoft for possible inclusion in future products of Cupertino.
